King Cake Pull Apart Bread:
makes approximate 1 and serves 10
Quick and easy pull apart bread that you can whip up in less than 10 minutes!
INGREDIENTS:
2 cans of your favorite store bought cinnamon rolls
BROWN SUGAR FILLING:
4 TBS unsalted butter, softened
1 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup heavy cream
1 TBS vanilla
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
4 TBS softened butter
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 TBS vanilla
1 TBS heavy cream
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Spray a bundt pan with non stick spray
In a medium saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla. Bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly while assembling the other ingredients.
Open 2 cans of cinnamon rolls, and separate the rolls. Cut each roll into quarters.
Place half of the cut cinnamon rolls into bundt pan and pour half of the brown sugar sauce over the to
p. Repeat with this step with the other half of the cinnamon rolls and the remaining sauce.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes or until edges start to brown. All ovens bake differently, so check them at the 30 minute mark.
While king cake is baking, make your icing.
Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and butter into a bowl and mix until smooth. Add vanilla and heavy cream and beat until throughly combined.
Invert baked king cake onto platter or plate (add THE BABY) and spread cream cheese frosting over the top.
Decorate with sanding sugar
BAKING NOTES:
Darker pans will bake quicker vs light colored pans.
